This is not surprising: after all, we are placing ever-increasing demands on the quality and durability of buildings and their internal systems. We saw the importance of this, for example, in the houses in Groningen during the earthquakes. Commissioning means sustainable construction, more satisfied users and buildings that stand the test of time. As technologies continue to evolve, the future will be marked by innovation and integration.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A building that lasts<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Commissioning is not just putting up a good building and associated systems for now, but also with an eye to the future. With commissioning, errors in the design and delivery phase are minimized, as well as during the use phase. Here, the more complex the building, the more important commissioning is.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Commissioning<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8216;Despite the growing demand for commissioning in recent years, the Netherlands is still in the early stages when it comes to this process. Even after 15 years,&#8221; says Marco of D-TACS. &#8216;In sectors such as offshore, data centers and at Schiphol Airport, commissioning has already become commonplace. There the advantages and added value have been clearly proven. In offices, companies and logistics centers, however, commissioning does not yet play a major role. This is often for financial reasons. This is because implementing commissioning involves costs, which can be a prohibitive factor for (small) companies. But final failure costs are significantly reduced and risks are reduced. I expect this awareness to grow further in the future. In addition, there are more and more rules and certificates that companies must comply with so it&#8217;s just a matter of time, especially in combination with effective subsidy schemes.&#8217;<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Environment<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another aspect of the future of commissioning is the growing focus on sustainability. Awareness of environmentally friendly solutions is also growing within the industrial world, for example through the choice of materials and practices during the construction process. By implementing advanced measurement and control systems, companies can use resources more efficiently and contribute to a more sustainable future. In addition, the integration of systems that run on natural energy, such as solar and wind power, will become increasingly important.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Legislation<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Marco continues: &#8220;I hope the Building Quality Assurance Act will have a big impact in the future. This is a new law that requires a certificate to be issued to show that a building meets all the requirements. I expect that within two years we will see really big progress here in the commercial construction sector and that it will be embraced more.
