Cisco Systems is leaving its current office, which dates from 2002, and moving to a new location in Amsterdam. D-TACS is carrying out the commissioning of the new office. We test whether the systems work as designed before employees move in.

The project is being delivered in line with LEED and WELL. LEED assesses how sustainable a building is, while WELL looks at the health and comfort of the people who work there. Both require proof that the systems perform in practice: air quality, climate, lighting and energy use are measured and recorded.

North of the Johan Cruijff ArenA, Heijmans is building the Smart Mobility Hub for the City of Amsterdam. The building replaces the current car parks and will have 2,160 parking spaces for cars and 700 for bicycles. The roof will house a sports park with three football pitches, a padel court and a basketball court, among other facilities. The design is by cepezed and Buro Sant en Co.

D-TACS is carrying out the commissioning of all technical systems in the building on behalf of Equans. The parking area has a flexible layout and has to handle large peaks, for example when a match and a concert finish at the same time. We check that the systems do what was agreed under those conditions.

Dating from 1894, the University Hall is the historic heart of Utrecht University and welcomes around two hundred thousand visitors each year. The renovation makes this national monument more sustainable and accessible, with fully renewed building services and a BREEAM-NL Excellent ambition. On behalf of Utrecht University, we are carrying out the commissioning of the renovated installation in support of BREEAM credits MAN04 (commissioning and handover) and MAN05 (aftercare).

The SL2 building on Sorbonnelaan is undergoing a sustainable renovation and will house several chemistry and physics groups of the Faculty of Science. The building is being re-insulated, fitted with heat recovery in the air handling system and connected more efficiently to the thermal energy storage (ATES) ring. On behalf of Utrecht University, we are carrying out the commissioning of the complete installation in support of BREEAM credits MAN04 (commissioning and handover) and MAN05 (aftercare).

In Lelystad, BESTSELLER is building Logistics Centre West: at 155,000 m², it will soon be Europe’s largest distribution center constructed from solid wood, with a facade of straw panels serving as insulation. The building is designed to achieve a BREEAM Outstanding rating, the highest certification level. On behalf of Louwers Installatietechniek, we are handling the commissioning of the electrical installation.
