Increasingly, we see guidelines and legislation requiring an independent reviewer. So too in the new Breeam-NL New Construction 2020 guideline. This makes a clear statement regarding independent commissioning. And far from everyone is aware of that.

In the chapter Management 04, commissioning and handover, it is now clearly defined that the recording and validation of the credits must be carried out by an independent body and consultant which must have no relationship with the parties already hired. With this independent assessment, the aim is to more accurately ensure that the building owner can be confident that the property meets BREEAM-NL 2020 and that he has received what he asked for and purchased. As far as we are concerned, a good step in transparency and making demonstrably more energy efficient
